3 Card Baccarat
3 Card Baccarat first appeared in Macau. This card game is a simplified version of Punto Banco and classic baccarat, although in certain aspects it is slightly similar to Casino War. In several cases we have altered the regular game rules in order to increase player's payouts.
BetVoyager features our 3 Card Baccarat conventional version and a 3 Card Baccarat version with no house edge.
Basic Rules of Three Card Baccarat
3 Card Baccarat uses one 52-card deck. Suits have no meaning. All face cards and 10s are worth 0 points, Aces are worth 1 point, and the remaining cards are assigned their face-value (for example, an Eight is worth 8 points and a Deuce is worth 2 points). After adding the point total of a hand, only the last digit is counted. For example, three 7s are equal to 1 point (not 21). As in standart baccarat, the maximum possible sum is 9 and the minimum is 0.
The player makes a bet on one or several boxes and the dealer deals three cards on each box bet upon and three for himself. All cards are dealt face-up in this casino game.
On each box in 3 Card Baccarat, the player’s hand is compared to the dealer’s one. The best hand is three face cards. Two hands with any three face cards are considered a tie. If no one has such a hand, then the point totals are compared, and the hand with the largest point total wins. If the points are even, than the hand with the most face cards wins. If the amount of face cards is equal, the hands are considered a tie.
If the player’s hand is higher, he wins and his bet is paid 97:100. In other words, the casino keeps 3% of the win. If the player’s hand is lower, he loses his bet. If the player and the dealer have even hands, the game ends in a tie, and the player’s bet is returned to him.
In addition to basic bet in 3 Card Baccarat, the player can bet on a tie before the deal. If both the player’s and the dealer’s hands are equal, this bet is paid 25:1.
The player can make additional bets on the point total of the dealer’s hand (Dealer Total). The bet can be made on any point total from 0 to 9, i.e. the total number of possible bets is 10. If the dealer’s point total equals the value that the player chose, then the bet is paid 8:1. A player can simultaneously make several bets on different point totals.
In addition, a player can bet on whether the dealer will have three face cards (Three Faces). If this occurs, the player’s bet is paid 96:1.
In our No House Edge version of 3 Card Baccarat, the casino doesn’t keep 3% of the win on the basic bet. Please note that the casino doesn’t have any advantage on this bet, but it retains its advantage for any additional bets.
